Been taking the
Gold Line downtown for my internship and it's been kind of fun. I start at Lake (between the freeway lanes on the 210 and head through Pasadena, South Pas, Highland Park, Chinatown etc. to Union Station where I change to the Red Line to Pershing Square. For the most part the Gold Line follows the original route and is elevated through the last quarter or so across the river and through Chinatown, allowing for a unique view of the city you don't get from the freeway.
