Gold Line pt. 1

Been taking the Gold Line downtown for my internship and it's been kind of fun. I start at Lake (between the freeway lanes on the 210 and head through Pasadena, South Pas, Highland Park, Chinatown etc. to Union Station where I change to the Red Line to Pershing Square. For the most part the Gold Line follows the original route and is elevated through the last quarter or so across the river and through Chinatown, allowing for a unique view of the city you don't get from the freeway. I've yet to take it past Union Station, so a visit to Little Tokyo may be in order.

Unhappy Hipsters takes images from high end design magazines (mostly Dwell but Wallpaper and New York magazine also show up) and re-contextualize them by adding new captions. Super funny and about the only blog I check religiously right now. I really enjoy this sort of exercise, it's easy to overlook the importance of context when looking at pictures.
