Our first Post...

It's been a long time coming but finally our first post. We've been off the grid for three days now and have just now reached a location civilized enough to get wireless internet. Odessa TX. Strictly speaking that's not true but it is the first time we've had internet access and been awake enough to get this together at the same time. So, here's the first day.

We got out of LA around 9:30 or so. It was superbowl Sunday so we were the only people on the road to enjoy the 80 degrees and blue sky. Eight and a half hours later we were outside Tucson with dinner waiting. Our friends Arthur and Liza lent us an iPod and filled it with all kinds of fun stuff. We learned about Sputnik and the Watergate timeline. Listened to some Martinishot with Rob Long (which I love) and the Liza Shakes it mix. Which I can't quite describe. I took some pictures of signs:





And that's it. Bruce and Stanley welcomed us to their ranch in Tucson and we had a wonderful dinner and went to bed. We were both pretty pooped.
